Everyone can be Entrepreneurial

This belief guides us.

Zyeal believes entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting companies. It is a skillset and a way of thinking. It involves identifying needs, brainstorming creative solutions, taking calculated risks, learning from failure if that happens, recalibrating and persevering.

Entrepreneurship is about having a vision and making it a reality. Everyone can be entrepreneurial. That’s why we focus on nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset - be resourceful and confident and bring your ideas to life.

Entrepreneurship is a way of bringing learning to life through the real-world application of what is learned in School and College in any domain be it science, liberal arts, or engineering.

Zyeal helps students experience the value of their learning beyond the classroom. When their mindset becomes entrepreneurial, they have the capacity to solve any real-world problem.

Entrepreneurial Experience

Students learn by living the entrepreneurial experience in a classroom.

The Zyeal Entrepreneurship Programmakes students learn by working on a new business to develop their entrepreneurial abilities; students experience idea generation, opportunity recognition, creating product ideas, testing products with customers, assessing prices and costs, and constructing business models.

The program creates:

  • A real world, hands-on learning on what it͛s like to start a business.
  • Is an experiential class – essentially a lab. Students will talk to customers, partners, and competitors, and encounter the uncertainty and creativity of how a startup actually starts.
  • An entrepreneurial experience with pressures and demands of an early stage startup.

The students will:

Learn 'how to start a business' within the constraints of a classroom and limitations of time with access to faculty as guide and coach

Program design

The entire Zyeal program curriculum is online. The course consists of 20 lessons. The curriculum is in the form of edited videos, quizzes, practical activities, and a learning journal. The Learning Management Platform has conference facilities to enable Zyeal to remotely support the teachers and the classroom.
Program methodology and learning

The program is designed for self-learning i.e. the class is flipped. Students identify a business idea and take all the steps to start it. Teachers act as facilitators. Every question or ambiguity experienced by the students has to be resolved through discovery. Reflection after each activity is a critical component of learning to deepen understanding.

The figure on the left depicts how self-learning proceeds. All tools for the learning are in the Learning Management System.

• Each lesson has an introduction.
• Learning is tracked in learning journal.
• Business news is followed to connect with ideas learned.
• Lesson exercises reinforce learning through controlled experiments.
• The learning occurs based on what is done practically and supported by reflections of their utility.
